LARGE PREVIEW WINDOWS USAGE
MAIN TURBOVIEW WINDOW:
If you double click on the pic that is displayed in the Main TurboView's
windows, then that brings up a LARGE PREVIEW Window.
FILES LIST WINDOW:
If you double click on a file or press return while a single file is
HI-LITED, or double click
in the preview area, then that brings up a LARGE PREVIEW Window.
NOTES DATA BASE EDITOR WINDOW
Double click on the picture's preview window.
SEARCH FILES WINDOW
Double click on the picture's preview window.
ALBUM MANAGER
Double click on the picture's preview window.
CATALOG WINDOW
Double click on the picture's preview window.
NOTE: You can also double click on a filename where you see a list of filenames displayed. Also you can press return if the file you want shown is the hi-lited one in the list.
HINT:
Sometimes it's nice to load up a bunch of ANIMATED GIF files to see
which one you want to use for a particular purpose. Well, you can load
these GIFs into the large preview windows and EACH WINDOW will be playing
the GIF file. So you could have 10 GIFs all playing at the SAME time. Be
careful not to get TOO many Animated GIFs open at the same time, because
it will slow the system down after about 15 to 20 opened playing GIF files.
IE: When picking an animated GIF MailBox for web development, I like to
have the ones I want to pick from all playing so I can see which one I
really want to use. Then once I have the one I want to use, I "DRAG" it
into my Web page development document. Very slick!
PREVIEWS Menu Options:
The PREVIEWS menu option appears in both the main TurboView window
and in the Files List Window. This menu selection has several items to
pick from:
DISPLAY NEXT PREVIEW
This brings up the next preview window if more than one in opened up.
HIDE ALL PREVIEWS
This minimizes all the preview windows.
SHOW ALL PREVIEWS
This shows all the preview windows on the screen.
TILE ALL PREVIEWS
This takes all the preview windows and then TILES them onto your screen.
REMOVE ALL PREVIEWS
This closes out ALL the preview windows. This is like clicking on the
"X" in the upper right hand corner to close out each one.
If you have at least ONE open Large Preview Window, then you will see these in a list below the other menu items. If you click on one of these files then that particular preview window will be brought up.
TurboView has the ability to open up many LARGE PREVIEW windows. These can be used to compare several files on the screen at once, etc...
These preview windows can all do the following things:
CTRL-F9 <SHOW NEXT>
If you have many Preview windows open, this brings up the NEXT preview
window to the top of your desktop. So, if it was hidden, it would be brought
into view.
CTRL-F10 <MINIMIZE>
If you have a bunch of these preview windows all over your screen and
you want to clean up your desktop, this function key will minimize all
of the preview windows at once. You can use CTRL-F11 to get them all back.
CTRL-F11 <RESTORE>
This is bring up all preview windows into view in the SAME location
in which they were before minimizing them.
CTRL-F12 <TILED>
This function will TILE all the preview windows. So, if you had 9 preview
windows open, this would make you screen look like a TIC-TAC-TOE board
of nine squares. This is pretty cool.
NOTE: If you have a lot of preview windows open and you want to bring a SPECIFIC one into view, then you may not want to use the CTRL-F9, because you may have to press it many times before the correct image is displayed. In this case you can use the "PREVIEWS" menu pull down and pick the filename that you want to have displayed.
